Every year Fr. Emil
Cook, a missionary priest working in Honduras,
travels around the United States to acquire support
for the missions in Honduras as well as those started
in Dominican Republic and Liberia, Africa.
Every weekend he speaks
at Sunday Masses at various locations throughout the
country. During the week, he visits the homes of
mission supporters or persons interested in
supporting. He asks for economic support and
volunteers to help the mission in its financial
necessities in educating and administering to nearly
one thousand children and abandoned mothers. While
volunteering at the mission last fall, father asked
if I could help in traveling around the country. The
good idea of posting our travels on the website was
just recently presented, and I will try to be
consistent in offering weekly updates. We have
already been traveling since mid-January and I would
like to thank all those that have already hosted us
in our travels and given generously in their support
to the mission.
