Give a “Gift” to Celebrate or Honor a Loved One

Help give the gift of hope, love and a brighter future to children in Liberia by supporting Liberia Mission in honor of a loved one for a birthday, a holiday, or a special occasion such as a Confirmation, wedding, or anniversary! Right now, the boys and girls homes at Liberia Mission and St. Anthony of Padua School are in need of some special items and funding for special projects, including medical supplies, a nurse, tools, and fire extinguishers. You can now go online and choose one of these items as a "gift" for your loved one.  Your donation will be sent to Liberia so the Mission can purchase the item you choose or fund the project you support.  A "gift card" will then be mailed to your loved one, letting them know the gift you have given in their honor!  To access the secure form to choose which project you would like to support in honor of a loved one, go to: Liberia Mission Special Needs!

All donations to Mission Honduras International are tax deductible.

94% of all donations go directly to program services in Liberia, West Africa.
The other 6% goes to administrative expenses and costs incurred in fund raising.

Thanks to the extended charitable IRA legislation, you may make gifts using
IRA funds without tax complications. If you are 70-1/2 or more and are required
to receive a minimum distribution from your IRA, you can direct the distribution
to a public charity without paying income tax on the amount of the gift. Only
contributions made through December 31, 2009 are eligible for enhanced tax
benefit. We invite you to consider supporting Mission Honduras International
through this option. Be sure to contact your tax professional and your IRA advisor
if you are considering a gift under this law.
